Earlier this year, students were able to apply to the Lending Tree’s Financial Roots student essay contest for a chance to win a scholarship. Teachers of the competitors would also have the chance to win prizes. To enter the contest, students had to complete at least three online lessons about managing their finances. After they completed the courses, they were required to write an essay about how the Financial Roots program impacted them and their plans for their future financial education.
We would like to congratulate Reid Heaton and his instructor Sandra Staton from Alexander Graham Middle School for winning 3rd place in the contest. Great job Reid!
