All Pathways

Architecture & 3D Prototyping focuses on the fundamentals of architectural design, including geometry, structure and function. You translate their design ideas into three-dimensional forms using such tools as Autodesk design software and 3D printers. You will design and develop a portfolio of projects, models and drawings.

Drafting: Architecture I

PLTW: Intro to Engineering Design

CPCC ARTICULATED CREDIT

Articulated credit is earned as a result of a student passing the designated CMS CTE course(s) with a final letter grade of a B or higher AND a score of 93 or higher on the NC administered end of course exam. In some cases students must show proficiency in multiple courses plus a certification in order to receive articulated credit. In some cases, there are options. Be sure to pay attention to the AND and OR statements. College articulated courses DO NOT show on a high school or college transcript. These courses, if the criteria is met, will be waived from the applicable program of study through Central Piedmont Community College.

College and Career Promise

Through local partnerships and classroom curriculum, we are motivating youth to consider careers in manufacturing and preparing them with the skillsets and knowledge to succeed in the workforce industry after high school, and college. The CTE department connects local and regional manufacturers with local high schools to establish or build manufacturing education programs that will grow the workforce in the local communities. Students who experience the Advanced Manufacturing Pathway enter college or move into post-secondary careers with essential advanced manufacturing knowledge and expertise. partner corporations provide grants, scholarships, and apprenticeships for students who continue their education in theAdvanced Manufacturing industry.
